About the course:
The course is fully focused on the practical aspects and covers the preparation of financial statements along with the corresponding explanatory notes. During the course, you will learn how to create the necessary adjustment files required for financial reporting. This program will enable you to independently prepare a complete package of financial statements for your company. The number of participants per group is limited to 15, allowing attendees to remain fully engaged throughout the training.
Upon Completion of the Course, You Will Be Able to Independently Prepare:
- Statement of Financial Position;
- Statement of Comprehensive Income / Income Statement;
- Statement of Changes in Equity;
- Statement of Cash Flows.
Lecture 1
Key aspects of IFRS for SMEs standards where companies make the most common errors that impact financial statements. These topics include:
- Changes in the useful lives of property, plant, and equipment (PPE) and impairment testing;
- Impairment of trade receivables;
- Write-down of inventories to net realizable value (NRV);
- Recalculation and accounting entries for financial leases/leasing;
- Revenue recognition.
In Excel, we will prepare the following files:
- Provisions file for trade receivables;
- File for writing down inventories to net realizable value;
- Recalculation file for financial leases and leasing;
- Loan recalculation files (for both bank loans and shareholder/founder loans).
Lecture 2
Using Excel, we will build:
- The company’s trial balance and apply financial adjustments;
- The Statement of Profit or Loss (Income Statement).
Lecture 3
Using Excel, we will build:
- The Statement of Financial Position (Balance Sheet);
- The Statement of Changes in Equity;
- Explanatory notes (disclosures).
Lecture 4
Based on the company's journal entries, we will build in Excel:
- The Statement of Cash Flows, using both the direct and indirect methods.
